Introduction

Boxmanufaktur debuted the Denali 720 Q at the Caravan Salon, and it’s a purpose-built expedition box with a flush-panel exterior, a 10 kWh battery system, and a layout designed around four-season comfort. Andreas from Boxmanufaktur walked through the whole rig on camera, inside and out. Here’s what it’s got.

The Builder

Boxmanufaktur builds everything in-house. They press their own composite panels, run their own CNC machine to cut panels to shape, and use a specific overlapping Z-cut method to interlock all the panels together. The result is a stiff, sturdy box, and because they’re not locked into standard measurements, they can build to individual customer specs.

The doors and hatches are built in-house too, and they’re integrated directly into the wall panels during the pressing process. No visible frames, no proud edges, everything sits flush. The exterior handles are aluminum, and there’s a door stop built in. It’s a clean look.

Exterior

The 720 Q has three openings on the exterior: the main entrance door, a pass-through door to the driver’s cab, and the outdoor kitchen. The outdoor kitchen is a Mokubu box, a self-contained unit with a cooktop and storage for cutlery, plates, and silverware. There’s also a pass-through feature where groceries can be loaded from outside and pushed directly into the interior kitchen, with two interior doors to access them from inside. Useful when you’re coming back from a supply run.

On the driver’s side there’s a panorama hatch that opens the entire sidewall. It comes with a mosquito net option and an additional outbound window for ventilation when you don’t want the full panel open. Standing outside next to a lake with that wall open is apparently a big selling point, and it’s easy to see why.

The garage sits below the box and is fully heated via the hydronic system. The freshwater tank and filtration system are positioned directly above the axle for weight distribution, and they stay warm even in cold conditions.

Sleeping

The Q in Denali 720 Q stands for “Querbett,” meaning the bed runs crosswise, 150 x 200 cm. There’s also an L version where you sleep north-south, and in that configuration the kitchen cabinet sits lower and the bed pulls forward over the work table and dinette. In the Q layout, the bed area has upper cabinets above it, integrated lighting with USB ports, and an airline track on the wall. Small bags from Sealand Pro hang on the track for glasses, a phone, whatever you need within reach at night.

Electrical

The whole rig runs on an EcoFlow system with a 10 kWh battery pack. That’s enough capacity to run induction cooktops, a fridge, and general loads without worrying much about depletion. EcoFlow is paired with a Revotion smart control system, which handles lights, pumps, and other functions through a phone app. There’s also an integrated iPad mounted in the rig as a control panel.

One feature worth mentioning: from any switch in the vehicle, a double-click turns off every light in the rig. You’re in bed, you reach over, double-press the nearest switch, and it’s dark. No getting up. The Tiger Xpad USB chargers are high-power units that can handle iPad-level voltage, not just phone charging.

Heating and Climate

The heating system is a Timberline 2.0, which combines a hydronic system with an instant hot water boiler. Glycol runs through floor panels, around the bed panel, and through one wall in the bathroom. The wastewater tank is also heated. Hot water is described as more or less endless, running through heating cycles continuously.

The heated bathroom wall is where the towel-drying setup comes in. Hang towels against that wall and they dry fast, which matters when you’re moving between wet environments and a small interior space.

Kitchen

The interior kitchen has an undermount sink and an induction cooktop from ZMENS. The layout was designed with workspace as a priority, and the cabinet system uses Euro-type storage boxes throughout. Pull them out, take them home to fill them, slide them back in. It keeps things organized without custom packing every time.

The fridge is accessible from both inside and outside the vehicle. The outdoor Mokubu kitchen handles cooking when the weather allows, and the indoor setup covers everything else.

Bathroom

The bathroom has a teak shower grid, a folding sink, and a Healy Pot composting toilet. The Healy Pot is described as a new system with a mixing tool that accelerates the composting cycle significantly. Boxmanufaktur says they’re now using it in most of their builds.

A shower curtain protects the mirror cabinet from spray, and the shower floor has a sloped drain so water runs to the drain even when the vehicle isn’t perfectly level. Overhead storage sits above the pass-through door to the driver’s cab, and it’s sized for light gear.

Final Thoughts

The 720 Q is a serious four-season build with a lot of in-house manufacturing behind it, and the EcoFlow plus Revotion pairing gives it a more modern control setup than most rigs in this category. If you want more detail or a custom size, Boxmanufaktur’s contact info is at boxmanufacturer.com.
